When and where does the conference take place?#

From 13 to 15 December 2026, at the Agadir Horticultural Complex in Ait Melloul, Agadir, Morocco. A technical tour of water and agricultural infrastructure in the Souss-Massa region follows on 16 December.

What language is the conference held in?#

English. Abstracts, presentations and posters are submitted and presented in English.

Who should attend?#

Scientists, engineers, policy makers, industry leaders, young water professionals and institutional stakeholders working on the sustainable management of natural and engineered water systems.

How do I submit an abstract?#

Abstracts are submitted through an online platform, under one of the six thematic areas of the conference. Every submission is reviewed by the Programme Committee, which notifies authors of acceptance and of the presentation format assigned to their contribution. What does the registration fee include?#

Every delegate fee includes the welcome reception, the conference dinner, coffee breaks, lunch on all three days, the delegate bag and the printed programme.

Do I have to be an IWA member to attend?#

No. Registration is open to everyone. IWA members do pay a lower fee, and proof of membership is required at registration. If you are not yet a member, joining IWA before you register may cost less than the difference.

I need a visa to enter Morocco.#

Start the process well in advance. An official letter of invitation can be issued once your registration has been confirmed and paid. Please note that such a letter does not guarantee that a visa will be granted, and that the organising committee cannot intervene in visa decisions.

Will the papers be published?#

Selected papers are peer-reviewed and considered for publication in Water Science and Technology or an adjunct IWA Publishing journal, according to a schedule agreed with IWA Publishing. Authors of selected contributions are contacted with the relevant instructions.
